Federica Chiozza is a Research Fellow at the Department of Biology and Biotechnologies of Sapienza University of Rome and is responsible in the day-to-day update of the mammal data on the IUCN Red List, working in close contact with IUCN SSC’s network of Specialist Groups and Red List Authorities. After the degree in Natural Science she worked for six years for the FAO-UN Agriculture Department as GIS consultant contributing to the development of the Global Livestock Information System (GLIS) and related Global Livestock Production and Health Atlas (GLiPHA). In 2006, Federica completed a Master’s degree in “Conservation of animal biodiversity: protected areas and ecological networks” at Sapienza University of Rome. In 2007, she became involved with mammal conservation assessments as team member in the Global Mammal Assessment (GMA).
